will address the interactions at large both within and outside the IST community (even non-EU projects and organisations). This WP includes the organisation of cluster meeting, the publication of a newsletter and the set up (and maintenance) of a website acting as an open, easy accessible ‘portal’ to all information related to the cluster activities.

- WP2 Multi-disciplinary Analysis and Roadmap
represents the core activity of the CA. It addresses the multi-technological analysis to be carried out in order to help the Commission and the projects to get a clearer vision of the sector on many aspects including non technical issues. A number of technical and non-technical Working Groups have been identified and set-up as well.

- WP3 Think-Tank Activity
will gather in a so-called “Think-Tank” the main Stakeholders and experts in the domain of audio-visual search engines. CHORUS will recruit participation to the Think-Tank from outside the consortium, whilst involving Stakeholders representing all domain interests, so that highly relevant input and a well-balanced vision can be realised

- WP4 Workshops and Conferences
addresses communication and dissemination, but with different instruments. Within that WP multi-disciplinary workshops and conferences will be organised bringing together the different IST projects with other relevant organisations and projects. Those workshops, and conferences at a larger scale, will be a direct means both for the collection of information and views (among which technical and non-technical topics), the discussion on trends and issues and for the cross fertilisation between all initiatives of the sector. The public targeted by that activity exceeds the European research community, the goal being that the events initiated by CHORUS become a high standard and powerful instrument of communication and dissemination.
